Spintax

Content Spinner for Google Sheets™

Built by BetterSheets.co

A free Google Sheets™️ Add-On to parse spin syntax content. A Spintax Tool for Google Sheets™.Spintax is written with pipes separating content you want to randomly select. {Hi|Hello|Hey} would either be Hi, or Hello, or Hey.Spintax Content Spinner, the Google Sheet™ Add-on allows you to do three things.
1. Randomly select one option.
2. See all available options without duplicates.
3. See all available options with duplicates.

Spintax Benefits

✅ Enables parsing of spin syntax content in Google Sheets™
✅ Simplifies the process of randomly selecting options
✅ Provides visibility of all available options with and without duplicates
✅ Enhances content creation efficiency
✅ Facilitates bulk content creation in Google Sheets™

Why use this Spintax Tool?

This Spintax tool allows you to write an enormous amount of content with a few different inputs.Combine these functions with OpenAI's API call, in a spreadsheet to bulk create content generated via AI.Content Variation
As I have pointed variations of your content, headlines, titles are all good uses of Spintax. If an article needs to be distributed across several different platforms, linkedin and twitter and blog and facebook, it doesn't really matter if it's all the same text. But if you want to generate let's say a unique tweet and tweet it 52 times (for every week in a year) you might want to change the text a little bit.
SEO Benefits
By using spintax to generate multiple variations of an article, you can target different keyword variations and increase your chances of ranking well in search engine results pages. I've seen examples of purely just noun swapping. And I don't mean to say that that is a beneficial practice. It works until it doesn't and then Google de-ranks you. But you are more clever than that. You can use spintax to generate the title, the intro, and perhaps hand write more articles than others.
A/B Testing
Spintax is great for coming up with the final A/B tests. But also A/Z tests because you can spin content in more than 1 way. You can spin it many many times over. You can test between hundreds or thousands of variations with very little effort.

What is Spintax?

Spintax or Spin Syntax allows you to write sentences, write headlines, write content and come up with multiple variations.Instead of writing out each variation you can "spin" some select words or phrases and get the variations. For example if I wanted to write a headline with different numbers at the beginning of the headline, I can write it like
- 10 Spintax Examples
- 20 Spintax Examples
- 30 Spintax Examples
or I can write
{10|20|30} Spintax Examples
How to use the Spintax Google Sheet™ Add-on by Better Sheets:
tthe spin() formula would generate a random one,
the spinall("{10|20|30} Spintax Examples") would generate
- 10 Spintax Examples
- 20 Spintax Examples
- 30 Spintax Examples

How to use the Spintax Custom Functions

Spintax by BetterSheets.co comes with 3 custome functions you can start using the moment you install Spintax.SPIN()
Generates one single variation, at random, of your spintax content. Out of all the possible outputs, the SPIN() formula will generate only one example. That example will be generated randomly. If you do the SPIN() function again, it will generate a random one again.
At times this randomized variation can be the same. It is very much random. So the same one can come out again and again.SPINALL()
When using SPINALL() function it will output all possible variations. You'll get out a list of all the spintax variations of the spintax that you entered.
The duplicates will be filtered out and you'll be left with the output of all unique variations.
The output is a list, so it will extend beyond the cell you entered the formula in if you have more than 1 variation possible. This can be wrapped just like any other spreadsheet formula with the TRANSPOSE() function that then will take the vertical list of spintax variations and give you a horizontal list.
You can also join the outputs with the JOIN() formula if you wish to have them all in one cell as the output. You can also use the INDEX() formula to select the 1st one or 1st and 2nd, or other amount if you'd like to constrain the output to a certain number.SPINEVERYTHING()
The SPINEVERYTHING() formula will output all possible variations and include all the duplications. This is very useful if you want to see the percentage chance of a variation. Perhaps one variation of the spintax has a higher probability of being the random result.
Using the SPINEVERYTHING() formula can be wrapped with a formula like UNIQUE() if you do also want the unique options. But that seems silly because the SPINALL() custom function does do that on its own.
